Convivial meeting

The Convivial Meeting is back !The convivial 2024 meeting for foreign researchers will take place on 9th July with a cruise in the Gulf of Morbihan and a visit to the island of Arz

Intended for all foreign researchers (as PHD students, post-docs, visiting professors), the aim of this day is to strengthen exchanges between researchers from all fields of research in a convivial setting.

For doctoral students, this event can take part of your training program 

as a focus on the challenges of open science, its practical applications and its impact on teachers and researchers.


What is open science?

  • Definition, principles and challenges of open science today

Scientific research policy in France

  • Context and applications of open science in terms of research projects, teaching, publications
  • The relationship between science and society

The professional careers of foreign doctoral students in France:

  • What approach should be taken to open science?
  • Open science policies in other countries around the world


For phd students interested by the training program, you also have to register on AMETHIS with the code FDI-CDB-LV-01

All charges are covered by the university except your personal expenses. 

Organisation of a day trip

  • 10:00am: Appointment on ENSIBS parking - 17 Bld Flandres Dunkerque 1940 – Lorient
  • 10:20am: Departure from Lorient to Vannes by bus
  • 11:20am: Departure from bus stop “Marcellin” in Vannes - Avenue Raymond Marcellin – (in front of ENSIBS building)
  • 12:00-2:15pm: Arrival in Baden - boarding - lunch-cruise with “IZENAH Croisières” on board
  • 1:00-1:45pm - For PhD students : focus on the challenges of the open science by Vincent de Lavenne
  • 2:30–4:00pm: Free visit on Arz Island with presentation on coastal flora and  seaweed by Pr Nathalie Bourgougnon
  • 4:00–4:45pm: Refreshment break offered at the bar "L'Escale", near the pier
  • 4:45pm: Boarding and return to Baden
  • 5:30pm: Departure from Baden by bus
  • 6:00pm: Stop in VANNES
  • 7:00pm: Arrival in LORIENT
